A man has died and 13 people have been left injured after a bus and a car collided in Clapton, east #London.
The crash happened at approximately 2.20am in Lea Bridge Road at the junction with Essex Wharf.
A man who was in the car was pronounced dead at the scene.
Three other men who were in the vehicle have all been taken to hospital.
One is in a critical condition, while the other two, who were in the back of the vehicle, are described as being in a serious but stable condition.
All of them are believed to be in their early to mid-20s.
Ambulance crews treated around 10 walking wounded who were passengers on the bus, a N38 travelling towards Whipps Cross.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area, with road closures in place running from Chatsworth Road with the junction of Lea Bridge Road to Orient Way with the junction with Lea Bridge Road.
Any witnesses or anyone with information relating to the incident is asked to call the police non-emergency line on 101.
