Two boys who were taken in a parental kidnapping in
Arkansas are being cared for by child welfare officials after being
found in the back of a U-Haul truck in southeast #Missouri, authorities
said.
Cape Girardeau police say the boys were found Wednesday on Interstate 55.
The Southeast Missourian reports that the parents purportedly took the children, ages 10 and 13, from their grandmother in Rector. The grandmother has legal custody.
Cape Girardeau police say officers spotted the U-Haul on Wednesday morning and pulled over the vehicle. Two adults were in the front, and police say an adult and two children were inside the enclosed bed of the truck. The #adults were arrested, and authorities say formal charges are pending.
