HP to invest over a $1 billino in open-source cloud computing

BARCELONA: Hewllett-Packard Co. said it plans to invest more than a $1 billion over the next two years to develop and offer cloud-computing products and services.
The company said it will make it openStack-based public cloud services available in 20 data centers over the next 18 months.
OpenStack, a cloud computing project that HP co-founded, provides a free and open-source cloud computing platform for public and private cloud services.
Cutomer challenges today extend beyond cloud. They include how to manage, control and scale applications in a bybrid environment that spans mulitiple technology approaches," Martin Fink, officers, HP, said in a statment. #Nation News
